being announced that DELILAH will take over nights at WLTW.
Last week (NET NEWS 11/10), RYAN addressed the issue in an article and told THE DAILY NEWS that it's "a possibility" that syndicated host DELILAH will fill
JJ KENNEDY's evening slot -- but that if she does, "It would be a custom show done entirely for NEW YORK. I would program the music."
Hmmm, wonder when this will start?? Hope it's soon!! It makes me mad, because seeing as I just left NY! And all these years I've conplained "Where the hell is Delilah? Why isn't she on New York Radio?" (or NYC radio) And, now my wish has finally come true! It's a shame I won't be going out there this summer, but I might be going else where and I can still catch her show that way!! YAY! What do yall think about this? I, for one am extremely excited!!! Please post all comments/thoughts regarding this here! Just thought I'd share with everyone!

I'm saddend deeply by this.
It is of my opinion that live, local tallent should be on our airwaves 24-7. JJ Kenidy was one such live tallent. I firmly believe that new jocks can be recruted, trained during these shifts. I know there are a lot of people that wish to be DJ's, and with people such as Deliah, and Lesa at night, John Tesh, etc it creates less and less jobs for local tallent. Sure it cuts down on costs, but listeners don't get the live local feel of a jock.
It is of my opinion that there should be live, local jocks during the third shift. A station I'm glad to see takes this seriously and bosts about jocks being on 24-7 is "G Rock Radio" 106.3 Eatentown, 106.5 Ocean Achers NJ.
They are a aulturnative station.
WBLI also has jocks on 24-7. So does WHUD.
Hey!! Sorry Im so late in replying to this topic. (if anybody was wondering her show premiered on November 20th) it definitely isn't the same as the satalight verson, but I guess that's what Jim ment when he said he was going to program the music. (I shouldn't be conplaining though) we could have it worse, John Tesh could be in the place instead of Delilah. (I'm not much of a fan of John's show) I happen to enjoy Delilah's show. (now when I go home, I'll actually have something to listen to) Amber
i DON'T SEE WHY HE TOOK off JJ Kenity. She was local talent, and that is the way to go. Tesh is okay, but good grief leave him in his own market? O&A are probably great for NYC, but why should we have them in every fricken market in the country?
